The British media have such a narrow vision do they not? The resignation of the former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his allies, seems to be all that is happening in the world, yet we still have a war in Ukraine, growing conflict in Sudan, starvation in many parts of Africa, along with the extensional environmental threats. The western news streams seem to be at great lengths to avoid discussing the EU’s recent attempts at uniting the Russian opposition to take down Putin. A Russian civil war is something we should all fear. Yet according to the mainstream media, the most important thing in the world today is the resignation of Boris the uncontrollable. As to be expected the bulk of the comment is anti the former Prime Minister. We hear how he destroyed British politics with his lies and debauchery yet few of the articles provide fact about such. Just the standard we heard from a source! That cold bastion of British correctness, the BBC allowed one of their senior presenters, Laura Kussenberg, to write a piece which was blatantly anti Johnson, not what you expect from someone so experienced. Yet it seems to be the standard trait of picking on the man just ‘because’ we do not like his politics or is it him personally?
As expected, the mainstream Scottish media are cock a hoop at the demise of Boris, much of it based on an anti-British theme with the odd bit of Scottish socialism thrown in. Perhaps the best example is Andrew Tickell’s piece in the Scottish newspaper, The National, which is a clear mix off Scottish labour socialism with a hint of anti-monarchy and anti-British establishment thrown in. Informative news? Disappointingly not.
It was interesting to see the founder of Guido Fawkes, Paul Staines questioning the reasons for the attacks on Boris. Although considered right wing by some the fact is the group are not part of the main steam British establishment or media so their comments are worth considering. Also noting their recent piece on the deputy leader of the Labour party, Angela Rayners loud and positive statements about the ‘unbiased privileges committee’. Interesting, we wonder what she knows?
Does Boris leaving the parliament mean the demise of the UK political establishment, of course not. Things will go on as normal with the elite continuing to have the upper hand over the general public. Does Boris resignation mean a problem for the Tory party, possibly as the massive win at the last election can only be attributed to Boris unequivocal appeal to the masses. Regardless of what the media keep telling us.
Is Mr Boris Johnson actually gone? We have to be honest and say, we do not know. His possible appeal to those who believe in anarchy has been his complete unpredictability. So, when the mainstream media dictate to you that they knew the future for Boris Johnson, please do not believe them because they do not have a clue what his plan is.
